After a decisive victory at the Kentucky Derby, the horse known as 'Barbaro' was looking for another win on the second leg of the Triple Crown at the Preakness Stakes in Baltimore, Maryland. The Davidson boys, and unknowingly some of my Danbury buddies, made the trip to see the famous horse race. We arrived at the track on a school bus at 9:00am and proceeded to 'make the most' of our afternoon prior to the 5:00pm main event. This will give you a little taste of the Preakness Infield..this was from 2008, to be honest I believe 2006 was better (if you can imagine that).

By the time the main event came we were all ready to see 'Barbaro'  take home home the Preakness Stakes. We all wanted to see history (especially if he went on to win the Triple Crown) but more importantly we wanted to cash in on all the money we put on him to win (or at least place). Unfortunately, Barbaro pulled up lame on the first leg of the race and was not able to finish. This was a disappointing end to one of the most memorable events I have ever attended. I would suggest to anyone who is the Baltimore area in late May to make an appearance at the Preakness Stakes.
