After spending the first 6 months of our relationship 700 miles apart Tina and I were looking forward to spending the summer together. Fortunately, Tina got accepted into an great internship with General Electric (who's headquarters is in Connecticut), unfortunately, the summer internship was with the Aviation branch in Cincinnati, Ohio. Like usual, we knew it wasn't the best situation but we were going to do everything we could to make the best of it. In July I came out for a long weekend and we tried to experience everything Cincinnati had to offer. To me, when you want to experience a city you start with their professional sports teams so we bought two $17 tickets to the Reds game ($17 tickets get you seats about 10 rows from the field in Cincinnati, awesome). Tina and I had a great time at the game and I got to see one of my childhood sports hero's, Ken Griffey Jr play live for the first time. Over the next couple days we spent time exploring the city and spending time eating/shopping/eating on the other side of the Ohio River in Newport, KY. We made the most of our last full day in the 'Natti by meeting my Davidson teammate, slash Phi-Delt Little Brother, Will Nolte and heading to Kings Island Theme Park. The three of us hit every ride (except for the ones Nolte got kicked off of because his absurd 6'7 frame just would not fit) and snack stand in the park. Overall, Cincinnati was a great time and I hope to go back and spend more then 4 days in the city, maybe a Bengals game next time.
Thats a pretty sweet cell phone you got on in that picture with Nolte. Goes well with the sleeveless tee.
ReplyDeleteHope you're doing well man
